Sermon: About 25 years ago I showed up early to chapel at Cornerstone University. The only other person in the room was an older guy I didn’t recognize, so I went over and said hi and chatted with him for a couple minutes. He had a funny name – “Os” – and a British accent. Os Guinness is a philosopher, writer, and a really good speaker. This morning on the way in to the office I listened to this address he recently delivered on Western Civilization, and found it interesting and challenging. If you enjoy that one but are disappointed it was so short, here’s another I just got started on the last two miles before the church: “Why is Culture Such a Mess?” I’ll have to finish it on my way home.

Catechism: With what attitude should we pray?

Song from Clark: Groaning to our God: Psalm 102 reminds us that He hears our prayers. I hope this mournful but anchored Psalm 102 inspired song ministers to our groaning spirits today.
